摘要
This paper deals with the three important factors concerning the development of the students’pragmatic competence in the middle school English teaching.The writer begins with the discussion of the pragmatic functions of the grammatical structures,and then goes on with the pragmatic differences of the same linguistic structures in different situations.Finally,he discusses the pragmatic disparities caused by the differences between English and Chinese cultures.In so doing,he hopes to arouse the teachers’attention to the development of their students’pragmatic competence in the course of teaching.
