摘要
Community Regeneration is a key aspect of urban regeneration success. The market of community regeneration tends to grow faster and have the potential risks of society confl ict. Little research, however, has considered the diff erent orders of institutions namely commanding order and polycentric order. The evidence on this point is fragmented, based on principles made by the government rather than sample observation. This article provides evidence on the link between the commanding order and polycentric order. Using macro and micro level data from case study of Chongqing City, the article finds, after considering the diff erent factors of institutions, the coexistence in one system of these two orders. To save the transaction cost, combining these two diff erent orders at diff erent levels of institutions is more eff ective than the system that is dominated by only one order.
