EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON LOWER ALCOHOL SYNTHESIS OVER MODIFIED Cu-Zn CATALYSTS

摘要
The temperature effect on lower alcohol synthesis from CO + H2 over modified Cu- Zn catalyst was investigated in this paper. The experimental results showed that the reaction temperature affected the yields of alcohols and the formation of C2+OH obviously. The content of C2+OH increased but the yields of alcohols decreased when reaction temperature increased. The cooperation roles between active components of catalyst could be regulated by the third (or fourth) component and modified by adding alkali metal and rare earths. As a result, the reaction temperature could be reduced.
