One day in November, 1996, I received three pieces of fossil specimens from a young colleague who had just come back from a fossil-collecting work in western Liaoning Province, Northeast China. From his donation and my research team’s joint effort, beyond my expectation, I have had the honor to discover the earliest known flowering
