The second China International Import Expo (CIIE) concluded in early November with US$71.13 billion worth of tentative deals reached, an increase of 23 percent from last year’s expo. During the expo, 1,367 exhibitors and 3,258 purchasers from 103 countries and regions inked a total of 2,160 preliminary deal agreements. The upshot of this is that more than 230 companies from across the world have signed up for the third CIIE, among which are over 80 Fortune Global 500 companies or industry leaders.The success of the CIIE can be attributed to China’s commitment to globalization with real actions.
