1 Introduction The Williston Basin is one of the most successful basins in exploration and development of shale oil and gas in North America with abundant logging and geochemical data.A total of three chief source rocks are respectively developed in the Ordovician,the Devonian-Lower Carboniferous and the Cretaceous.In this paper,these three
