Culture Input in Foreign Language Teaching

Language and culture are highly interrelated,that is to say,language is not only the carrier of culture but it is also restricted by cul-ture.Therefore,foreign language teaching aiming at cultivate students’intercultural communication should take culture differences into con-sideration.In this paper,the relationship between language and culture will be discussed.Then I will illustrate the importance of intercultural communication.Finally,according to the present situation of foreign language teaching in China,several strategies for cultural input in and out of class will be suggested.
