Ischemic stroke:Stroke is the second and third cause of death and disability,respectively,with an annual rate of 24.9 million cases worldwide(Chidambaram et al.,2022).Stroke is defined as the lack of blood supply to a specific area of the brain,accounti ng for 85%of all cases (Chidambaram et al.,2022).Changes in the gut microbiota have also been repo rted as risk fa ctor for stroke (Pluta et al.,
