摘要
The effects of differences of temper on mechanical properties of T6, T7 and T8 plates of aluminum alloy 2519 were studied. The stress corrosion cracking(SCC) sensitivity was evaluated with parameters such as K σ and K δ.Tensile tests were divided into two groups: one was performed on tensile specimens without pre corrosion, the other was performed on tensile specimens which were pre corroded in 3.5%NaCl+1%H 2O 2 solution at 25 ℃.The results show that SCC resistance of alloy 2519 ranks in the order of T8>T7>T6 and the mechanical properties rank in the order of T6>T8>T7. SEM fractographs of the failed specimen show that the SCC sensitivity can be determined by the distribution of the second phase particles and size and the shape of grains in the alloy.
