This paper mainly illustrates the important role TCFL teachers play in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the requirement that has been imposed on the teachers to be equipped with a set of professional knowledge structure and skill structure.The characteristics of TCFL determine the special teaching content and teaching methodology of this field,which require the teachers to have special knowledge and unique skills.
