China-U.S. Economic and Trade Relations

With cooperation as the mainstream, economic and trade relations play a strategic role in stabilizing China-U.S. relations, despite glaring imbalances and frictions. The coming five to ten years promise to witness continued mutual adaptation with perhaps some hopeful relaxation of the former, yet ominously intensifying the latter subject primarily to tougher U.S. China trade policy and supervision and politicizing the issue.
