On Woods in American Literary Works

Emerson,the representative of transcendentalism,published his collection of poems in 1847,which mainly dealt with the concern over the nature.Thoreau,also a member of transcendental club,held that it was only when people lived in the nature that he found his inner spirit in his novel Walden Pond,or the forest of life published in 1854.Though these authors described the woods differently,the images were in the same system.
