摘要：

Morphemes are the smallest units of semantics, including roots and affixes. This paper illustrates the basic meaning of English word formation from morpheme based on human experience, extending to the mental world through metaphor and extending to the external world(nature and Society) to form extended meaning. Mastering this rule and learning the method of analyzing words can help students to enlarge their vocabulary quickly.
