摘要
A mathematical model has been proposed for isotopic diffusion across an ion-exchanger membrane. A theoretical equation has been developed to predict the diffusion fraction as a function of time. This equation is derived on the basis of an unsteady-state process by taking into account both membrane diffusion and liquid film diffusion.A method has been developed for determining simultaneously self-diffusion coefficients in an ion exchanger membrane and liquid film thicknesses. It has been successfully applied to the isotopic diffusion of cesium ion across a CM-O01 cation exchanger membrane (homogensulphonated polystyrene-divinylbenzene cation exchanger).
