On June 30th,a cer-emony was held in Bukhara,Uzbekistan for celebrating the start of the construction on the Uzbek section of the Central Asia Gas Pipeline.In April China and Uzbekistan signed a principle agreement on building and operating the China-qUzbekistan gas pipeline.Then CNPC(China National Petroleum Corporation)and Uzbekneftegaz reached a heads of agree-ment on jointly constructing and operating the Uzbek section of the gas pipeline in July 2007.
