This summer brought a barrage of extreme weather events such as heat waves,forest fires,and floods around the globe.China and ASEAN countries also felt the pain. "There is high confidence that human-induced climate change from greenhouse emissions is the main driver," said Alvaro Silva,a climate expert with the United Nation’s World Meteorological Organization(WMO). "This gives us the long-term context for the increasing occurrence and severity of such extreme weather and extreme events."
