摘要：

The thesis discusses how subjectivity is shown through spatial deixis in the language of English news.Based on Langacker’ s Construal Theory,especially the aspect of construal perspective,the thesis employs the conceptualization in Cognitive Linguistics to explain the cause of subjectivity in English news.Then,it makes a further philosophical and social analysis of the motivation of subjectivity in news language.On the one hand,subjectivity is a basic attribute which helps people to cognize and reflect things.On the other hand,subjectivity is an important criterion for one to judge whether the nature of the news is "objective" or not.
