China has greatly increased contacts with foreign countries, thereby increasing the importance of English language. Modern time call lor modern methodologes in English teaching. How to balance the traditional methods with the new ones? How to improve. English teaching to meet the needs of modern time? This is a big challenge for English education , especially in middle school. This article seeks to address the integration of the four skills and the unity of accuracy and fluency, aiming to seek harmony in development; the usage of student-centred rather than teacher-centred style and the demand for the high quality teachers.
