Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic constitu-tional disease in which pathologic change ofjoints is dominant.We treated 34 cases of thisdisease with acupuncture from November 1984 toMarch 1985 and report the following results.GENERAL DATAOf the 34 cases,26 were female and 8 male;4 patients were under 20 years of age,5 werebetween 21 and 30 years,13 were between 31 and40 years,and 12 were between 41 and 50 years.Duration of the disease was less than 1 year in 11
