The United States subprime mortgagecrisis,which erupted in August 2007,triggeredthe worst global financial crisis sincethe depression in the 1930s.Undoubtedlythe financial crisis,which is fast spreadingto the real economies,will have impact onthe global and domestic petroleum andpetrochemical industries,adding downwardpressure on the petrochemical marketcycle.
