Enhancing Shielding Effectiveness Bandwidth in Core-Shell All-dielectric Cylindrical Structures

摘要
In this paper, we developed and applied a method of auxiliary sources (MAS) numerical scheme to compute the scattered fields from a two-dimensional array of cylinders. The cases of dielectric core-shell, and perfect electric conducting (PEC)-dielectric core-shell cylinders were examined. The shielding effectiveness (SE) was computed and it was investigated how the characteristics of the array's elements can lead to the enhancement of the SE for increased frequency bandwidths. It was also shown that, compared to PEC arrays, the PEC-dielectric core-shell arrays have the advantage of offering a frequency pass-band for electromagnetic waves.
