摘要
To overcome the high reflectivity of copper and improve the powder utilization, a simultaneous powder feeding method with side-axis layup was developed and successfully laser cladded Co-Ni coating on copper tube surface. The novel powder feeding method effectively suppresses the high reflectivity of the copper surface and increases the powder utilization rate to more than 95 %. The coating is dense, crack-free and has good metallurgical bonding. It has an average microhardness of 362 HV0.1, more than 5 times that of the copper substrate. The coating shows optimal high temperature wear resistance at 500 degrees C.
