摘要
Many Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) guarantee and protect the rights of children and adolescents from different perspectives. The aim of this study was therefore to identify the conceptions of childhood and children's agency held by NGOs that serve children and adolescents in partnership with the city of Belo Horizonte (MG) in the Integrated School Program. The design used was netnography and the study sample was made up of eight institutions that had up-to-date communication channels on the internet. The results showed that the protectionist view, which considers it important to protect children because they are incapable, predominates in the institutions. It is concluded that, in addition to social protection, social institutions can collaborate in the development of children's agency.
