摘要
The uncommon malignant dysontogenetic neoplasm known as pleuropulmonary blastoma (PPB) typically affects children. It forms a part of the pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma family and is frequently distinguished by a biphasic form with both mesenchymal and epithelial components. Here, we describe two highly unusual adult PPB cases. We report here two cases of PPB, both presenting with cough and chest pain with a bulky disease in lung. The diagnosis of PPB was made by combining imaging, histological, and clinical data. The disease showed an aggressive course with both patients dying due to the disease. Adult PPB is an extremely rare neoplasm. The clinicopathologic characteristics seen in our adult patients were also in line with what has been observed in younger kids with similar disease. Hence, PPB should definitely be kept as a possible differential diagnosis even in adults presenting with lung mass.
