摘要
Industrial catalysts consist of highly complex structural states. Therefore, the catalysis generated over these catalysts has been poorly understood even to date due to the difficulty in investigating the catalytically active structures. In this review, the catalytically active structures of highly active crystalline catalysts are introduced, focusing on the selective oxidation of acrolein (ACR) and methacrolein (MCR). These catalysts have a uniform structural state with physicochemical properties similar to those of the industrial catalysts for these reactions. Through the structure-activity relationship, the catalytically active structures and, moreover, the catalytically active species in these catalysts were elucidated. The catalytically active structures in these catalysts were beautifully organized local structures formed within the specific crystalline structure.
