摘要
AC losses of high-temperature superconductors affect the overall performance of the conductor as well as the operating cost and safety of the cooling system, and therefore has been receiving extensive attention from scholars. We have investigated the magnetization AC loss of CORC coils. The results show that different winding layers, methods, and angles have direct effects on magnetization loss. For stacked densely wound coils, the increasing winding layer will lead to an increase in the overall magnetization loss, but the average magnetization loss per layer decreases. For the winding method, the larger the area of misalignment between layers is, the larger the magnetization loss of the coil becomes. In addition, the larger the winding angle is, the less strip is used for the same backbone, and the overall magnetization loss of the coil is smaller.
