Realization of a Healthy Spectrum With High Color Rendering Index and Low Blue Light Hazard Based on Longitudinal Regulation of Luminous Intensity Ratio

摘要
This study unveils a novel method to synthesize white light with high color rendering index (CRI), reduced blue light hazard, and low color temperature (CCT). By tuning the ratio of color luminous intensities in R-Y-G trichromatic white light, we discovered a sweet spot with a CRI of 93.2, a CCT of 2055 K, and a remarkably low blue light hazard of only 5.2% overlap with the human eye response function, which breakthrough significantly mitigates the harmful effects of blue light on eye health and circadian rhythms. Leveraging an innovative ultra-thin layer structure, we fabricated organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) that generate this healthy spectrum with high efficiency and material conservation. Exquisite control over the thickness of the emitting layers enabled us to closely approximate the simulated spectrum, resulting in a device with a CRI of 91.3, a color temperature of 1845 K, and a low blue light weighted irradiance of 0.016 W/m2 based on the irradiance (E $_{\text {e}}\text {)}$ at 1 W/m2. The performance and safety features of this device herald a paradigm shift in lighting design, promising to revolutionize the health lighting landscape and promote well-being for a brighter future.
