摘要
We have demonstrated the amorphization of a two-dimensional ferromagnetic semiconductor CrSiTe3 using Xe-ion irradiation. Upon amorphization, an insulator-to-metal transition occurs, and the Curie temperature (Tc) increases approximately threefold from that of the single crystals, similar to the case of CrGeTe3. Notably, only one ferromagnetic phase is observed unlike amorphous CrGeTe3. The present results show that high-Tc ferromagnetic metallic states are intrinsic and universal for amorphous CrGeTe3 and CrSiTe3.
