摘要
The article outlines the primary myths that contribute to the favourable portrayal of Stalin in Georgia and evaluates to what degree the content found in history school textbooks helps to refute these myths. The theoretical framework of the paper is established through the concept of political myths. The research delves into the diverse viewpoints presented in the scientific literature concerning this matter, and depending on the chosen topic, great attention is paid to the phenomenon of historical myths. The paper employs the method of content analysis to examine history textbooks. The research discusses two textbooks from the Soviet period and 14 textbooks covering Georgian and world history that were published after the Soviet era.
