摘要
The work demonstrates the experimental determination of the thermal properties of conventionally sintered ceria-based samples (GdxBi0.2-xCe0.8O2). These ceramic materials consist of a cubic fluorite phase based on a ceria solid solution. According to the phonon theory of heat transfer, the behavior of the thermal conductivity coefficient can be determined from the Debye law. The formation of presented solid solutions, along with phonon scattering due to differences in the masses and radii of competing cations, a decrease in the propagation velocity of phonons with an increase in the density of the sample, the presence of pores and oxygen vacancies reduced the thermal conductivity of the studied ceramics relative to pure ceria.
