摘要
The purpose of this study is to analyze how and why preservice geography teachers' (PGTs') geographic reading and reconstruction of war histories can be meaningful for preservice geography teacher education (PGTE). The participating PGTs created their own geography-based war history card news (GWHCN). As a result, all of the participants deepened and broadened their understanding of geography (Types 1 and 2) and some of them refined their consideration of war and peace issues (Type 2). The results of this study suggest the need for discussion about the importance of approaching and learning war histories in geography education and PGTE.
