摘要
The role of inflammatory cells in the induction of various cancers was presented, with their division into: strong defenders of the body (T CD4+, T CD8+, Th1, Th2, NK, NKT, LAK, CKK, MAIT, T-cell CART), defenders or ,,collaborators" (B lymphocytes, M1 and M2 macrophages, N1 and N2 neutrophils) and enemies (MDSC, Th17). The described phenomena were correlated with three-stage tumor immunoediting. The range relations between cancer cells (A) and inflammatory cells (B) were presented graphically in the form of mathematical Euler circles in Figure 2, while external factors (A) and internal factors (B) involved in the induction of inflammatory infiltrate, which play an important role in cancer transformation, were illustrated using an adapted Venn diagram (10) in Figure 3. Although some anti-inflammatory drugs (aspirin, COX2) inhibit the risk of colorectal cancer in humans, there is still a long way to go to fully understand how cancer cells ,,manipulate" inflammatory cells for their growth and survival needs.
