Digital Defense: Investigating Human Aspects of Cybersecurity

In our increasingly digital world, computers are integral to both real and virtual realms, with the internet playing a vital role in modern life. Despite technology's prevalence, many lack adequate defenses against online threats. This paper examines human factors in IT and information security, highlighting identified vulnerabilities and methods of exploitation. Through quantitative analysis, it assesses user practices in personal and professional settings, finding a desire for improved security behaviors. Demographic factors showed no significant correlation with Information Security (InfoSec) awareness, but self-learning emerged as a key influencer, particularly in personal contexts.
