摘要
With the development of technology and society, the creation of electronic devices, media, and social networks has opened a new era and been a great step forward. This means that Vietnamese fairy tales, folktales, and legends sought after by children through books, radio, and especially through the loving and emotional stories of grandparents in ancient society have gradually disappeared. The FairyS board game set is inspired by characters from Vietnamese folk culture, imbued with the unique identities of Vietnamese fairy tales, folk tales, and legends. It helps players connect with cultural knowledge through game experiences. This study explains the process of integrating elements of Vietnamese folk culture into the design of the FairyS board game. Research will contain two main objectives. Firstly, explain the exploitation of elements of Vietnamese folklore and their integration into the design of the FairyS board game. Secondly, discuss the experiences of players in integrating Vietnamese folklore into the FairyS board game. A survey of 110 students from high school to college was conducted for this study, and 10 of them were selected for in-depth interviews. The results show that Vietnamese folk culture elements integrate designs as well as player experiences based on the four user experience factors mentioned that are agreed upon and appreciated. The study found that integrating Vietnamese folk culture elements into game design can not only help players entertain and develop soft skills, but also help them access cultural knowledge quickly.
