摘要
Two-stage partial nitrification/anammox (PN/A) process is widely used to treat liquid digestate, but the higher concentration of influent suspended solids (SS) may hinder the nitrogen removal performance of PN/A system. In this study, the two-stage PN/A process was used to treat kitchen liquid digestate with high SS concentration (HSS, 6000 mg/L) and low SS concentration (LSS, 1700 mg/L), respectively. Compared to the HSS influent mode, the LSS mode exhibits better nitrogen removal efficiency. The results were attributed to the variation in the abundance of functional bacteria and a noticeable decrease in the abundance of key enzymes. In reactor with high SS, the anammox process is constrained by the rate-limiting steps of converting NO to N2H4 and then to N2. In summary, HSS can negatively affect the two-stage PN/A process. Therefore, this study can provide theoretical support for the treatment of actual wastewater with varying SS contents using anammox-based technologies.
