摘要
The modified graphene oxide (GO) exhibits a good prospect in the field of lubricating oil additives. However, traditional modification method inevitably have some application limitations. Herein, long-alkyl chains from tetradecylamine (TDA), hexadecylamine (HDA), and octadecylamine (ODA) are grafted onto GO surface through the oxidative self-polymerization of dopamine, thus obtaining three different additives (TDA-GO@PDA, HDAGO@PDA, and ODA-GO@PDA). Among them, HDA-GO@PDA has the best dispersion stability in 500 N base oil for over 60 days. In addition, HDA-GO@PDA also have the prime tribological performance with reduction of the average friction coefficient and the average wear scar diameter by 44.4 % and 30.3 %, compared with pristine 500 N base oil. Overall, HDA-GO@PDA exhibit promising potential to solve industrial problems as lubricating additive.
