摘要
This paper introduces a millimeter-wave ultrawide-band dielectric resonator antenna designed for 5G frequency bands. The study involves an analysis of the performance of a triple-stacked rectangular dielectric resonator. A feeding slot with a rectangular shape is etched on the top wall and is excited via a printed ridge gap waveguide (PRGW) line. The antenna exhibits an impedance bandwidth of 45.62%, covering the frequency range from 28.2 GHz to 45.5 GHz, with a return loss |S11| consistently below -10 dB. At 37.5 GHz, the antenna achieves a peak realized gain of 9.2 dBi, maintaining a realized gain of more than 6.2 dBi across the entire operating band, thus establishing a 3 dB gain bandwidth. Moreover, the radiation pattern remains stable in both the E- and H-planes. These specifications make the antenna as a promising candidate for 5G applications.
