摘要
We describe the derivatization of tropolone-based homobarrelenones through simple transformations, including catalytic hydrogenations, base-catalyzed solvolysis, and hydride reductions. Despite being structurally complex and highly functionalized, the novel compounds had no significant cytotoxicity in sperm motility assays, underscoring the importance of Michael acceptor moieties in the biological activity of this class of compounds.
