摘要
The fractional order Fourier series is a non-trivial generalization of the traditional Fourier series. In this paper, we introduce fractional order Fourier series and study some basic facts of this series. We develop its relation to the traditional Fourier series which allows us to prove some properties of the fractional order Fourier series such as Parseval's identity and uniform convergence. The analysis of linear chirps using partial sums of the fractional order Fourier series is also presented.
