摘要
This article offers reflections on the experience and influence of working with Everett L. Worthington Jr. as a doctoral student and postgraduate collaborator. Worthington's contributions as an integrationist are highlighted with attention to (a) psychology, religion, and spirituality; (b) relational dynamics; (c) forgiveness as virtue; (d) humility as virtue; and (e) intervention research. Attention is given to the psychology of virtue as making necessary movement toward sociocultural contextualization. Worthington's historical contributions are briefly and personally reviewed as helping reconfigure the place of religion, spirituality, and virtue within positive psychology and mental health fields.
