Study of Traveling Wave Waveguide Narrow Slot Array Antenna Based on High Power Capacity and High Radiation Efficiency

摘要
A traveling wave waveguide narrow slot array antenna (TWWNSAA) with high power capacity and high radiation efficiency is proposed for the arrayed phase-locking magnetrons in terminals. The paper preliminarily explores the factors influencing the antenna's power capacity, namely the slot width (W) and radiation efficiency, of a single TWWNSAA. The simulation results show that: (1) the wider the slot width, the lower the radiation efficiency (within the usable range), and the higher the power capacity of the antenna. (2) For a center frequency of 2.458 GHz, with slot width W = 15 mm and radiation efficiencies of 80%, 85%, 90%, and 95%, respectively, the power capacities of the antenna in vacuum are 662 MW, 616 MW, 581 MW, and 544 MW respectively. The high-power microwave from the phase-locking magnetrons does not require a power combiner. Simply connecting each magnetron sequentially to each TWWNSAA allows for the efficient radiation of high-power microwaves of the same frequency and phase into free space. Therefore, it has great practical value in the field of high-power microwaves.
