摘要
The paper analyzes the delay of a go back n ARQ protocol across an underwater acoustic communication channel. The focus is on data transmission between a bottom mounted sensor node and an aggregation point. It is assumed that packets generated by the sensor node can be described by a Poisson process. The transmission queue is modeled as an M/G/1 queue. Numerical examples are presented that illustrate the ARQ delay performance for various distances between the transmitter and the receiver.
