摘要
Cable inspection and monitoring are crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of cable-supported bridges. In recent years, computer vision (CV)-based methods have gained widespread adoption in cable inspection and monitoring due to their low cost, operational simplicity, and capability for long-range measurements. Therefore, this study comprehensively reviews the current state of CV-based techniques for bridge cable inspection and monitoring. First, the principles underlying CV-based cable surface defect detection are introduced, and state-of-the-art applications in this domain are reviewed. Then, the principles of CV-based cable vibration measurement are summarized, and its applications in cable displacement monitoring, modal analysis, and cable force identification are explored. Finally, four significant challenges confronting CV-based cable inspection and monitoring methods are discussed, and potential avenues to address these issues are explored. This comprehensive review aims to provide a valuable reference for researchers and practitioners in the field of CVbased cable inspection and monitoring.
