摘要
Due to the extensive coverage of information services, satellite communication plays an important role in the future integrated satellite-terrestrial network. However, the strong multiple access interference makes it a challenge to meet the requirement of massive user access. Motivated by this, we first establish multiple access interference (MAI) for satellite communication. Since the satellite channel is mainly a direct path, and the Nakagami-$m$ distribution fits more experimental data with different m, we assume the Nakagami-m distribution as the fading model for the downlink satellite communication system. Furthermore, we derive an exact expression of the system bit-error rate (BER). Then, we optimize the information rate by setting the appropriate number of access users according to BER. Finally, simulations validate the analytical results. The analytical result can help us optimize the number of system users and ensure that the system works with high spectral efficiency and energy efficiency.
