摘要
Binary lead borate oxide glassy systems of structural formula (50B2O3–30PbO–20M– x Dy2O3) where M represents BaO or SrO and x varies between 0.05 to 1.0 wt.% were synthesized via ordinary melt quenching route to explore the consequence of Ba2+ and Sr2+ cations in Dy3+ containing lead borate glasses. Optical (UV/Vis.) and electrical (AC) conductivity experimental work were performed in correlation to structural composition were performed to investigate the role of both alkalis (SrO and BaO) in the host studied glasses. Density and molar volume in addition to other calculated optical parameters including optical energy gap, refractive index, molar refraction, and electronic polarizability were introduced and discussed. ©2024 Old City Publishing, Inc.
