An all-steel repairable buckling-restrained brace (RBRB) was proposed to facilitate rapid repair of BRB by replacing the core plate. Different parts of the RBRB are connected through bolted connections and the core plate can be replaced without opening the steel encasing. This paper discussed the hysteresis performance, failure mode and cumulative plastic deformation capacity of the RBRB, and two RBRB specimens with different core widths were tested by conducting low-cycle reversal loading tests. The results show that the RBRB exhibits good ductility and cumulative plastic deformation capacity. The RBRB specimens show similar hysteretic performance before and after the replacement of a core plate. Numerical studies were conducted for all specimens, and the simulated failure mode and hysteretic curves agree well with the test results. © 2024 Tsinghua University. All rights reserved.
