摘要
In view of the national concern about the air pollution by automotive emission a method, which offers a realistic promise both in performance and economics, is a dual fuel system by which natural gas and gasoline can be used interchangeably, at the will of the operator. Article discusses the application of compressed natural gas (CNG) using either filling stations for recharge of storage tank during off- hours or using storage bottles storing gas at 3000 to 5000 psi. Advantages of system in reduction of pollutants emission are discussed and comparative cost data is given.
