Modernization of Existing Dust Collectors in Cement Plants.

In many cases it is possible so to improve existing dust collectors by enlargement and new techniques that the more stringent limits imposed by the German pollution control regulations ('TA-Luft') can be complied with. The following possibilities are available for the upgrading of electrostatic precipitators: Enlargement of the precipitation surface by installing a complete additional electrostatic precipitator. Optimization of the internal conditions achieved by improvement of the gas distribution and pre-cleaning. Modernization of precipitator control and the use of so-called variopulsers, semipulsers or pulse generators.
