Decoherence and coherent population transfer between two coupled systems

摘要
The dynamics of two systems, coupled through the three-dimensional vacuum field and driven by a single-mode laser field, were studied. It was shown that in each case, the systems can be represented by coherent symmetric and antisymmetric superpositions. Further, it was demonstrated that the effect of population trapping does not necessarily require decoupling of the antisymmetric superposition from the dissipative interactions.
