摘要
The characterization of Gd2O3 nanocrystals of different sizes doped with 2.5 at.% Eu3+ ions was discussed. The synthesis of the particles was carried out by using a sol-lyophilication process. The sol-lyophilication allows the synthesis of 7-100 nm diameter cubic-phase particles. The results show that using VUV spectroscopic measurements that the gap in Gd2O3 increases when the size decrease from bulk to 7 nm.
